The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience with electrical electro-mechanical system and controls design in HVAC systems. You have in depth knowledge of electrical circuitry with established electrical safety work protocols and practices. Experience with the Integration of DC Drives, Inverters, VFDs, PLCs and PC based control systems required. Knowledge in control programming environments such as Basic and RSLogix, VB or other scripting languages highly preferred. Knowledge of HVAC electrical safety standards such as UL60335-2-40 and UL1995 highly desired.
Also required, Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and working knowledge of AutoCAD Electric.
• Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent resident who is legally authorized to work in the US and able to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Willing and able to travel Domestic and occasionally International travel (Canada primarily)
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of experience or Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of HVAC Electrical Experience.
• Ability to write PLC and HMI programs from scratch for new projects
• Ability to collect data via the PLC code to locate and resolve issues
• Basic understanding of MRP, BOM’s and ERP systems and how they work together
• Ability to troubleshoot Electrical circuits in real time on an assembly line
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix as needed controls using software or the HMI
• Competent ability with computer programs such as Basic and other common languages
• Able to work safely with high voltage power such as 460 volt 3 phase systems
• Provide design of controls and electrical equipment/systems for new and existing products to include new product development and current product maintenance. While meeting time commitments, cost, quality and safety standards.
• Provide electrical and controls technical engineering support for new and existing products
• Provide electrical and controls modifications to existing equipment to enhance performance improve applications, cost and safety
• Generates, revise and finalize very accurate Bills of Materials (BOM’s)
• Provide electrical and controls equipment specifications
• Provide manufacturing support on any shift, including weekends (This position is for 1st shift)
• Provide on the job training to company personnel as needed
• Knowledge of ECM/PSC/X13/EEM and other motor types as well as programming motors as needed
• Provide support to Technical Writing and Project management Teams in the creation of technical documentation, system manuals, and customer facing documentation
• Create, modify and finalize detailed electrical designs, schematics and drawings using AutoCad
